Our intention is to create a sun shading façade, a screen that
the user will be affected inside as outside. The user could
provide different ways of input and the screen would react on output.
As a Screen (Light Shadow)
The main goal is to block direct sunlight in summer and allow direct heat gain on
winter. This brisoleil will perpendicularly follow (with the use of photo sensors)
the sun and permit indirect or reflected lighting inside. (See image 1) This whole
component can be applied to the surface of the building’s façade and is our main
goal to be thinking on this as a product that we could apply on an existing building.
The brisoleil moves in almost every direction reflecting the sunlight.

As a Screen (Pixel Output)
As an added feature, the screen will allow the use of input with Mobile text messaging. The Screen will have some sort of light output (LED or Light Tape) on the surface that will allow the user to interact with the façade of the building. The light, and the rotation of the surface will rotate accordingly to the image that is projected. (See image 2)

As a Screen (Motion Sensor)
As an option to the Pixel output the screen could follow some movement and if completely closed, will monitor the movement inside or outside allowing view. If you’re walking through a corridor or simply sit on your desk and you move, the screen will allow view and light inside the building. At night will allow some interactivity outside because will le the light to the exterior and create some sort of movement on the façade. (See images 3 & 4)
